Firstly here is the link to the TRY booking site for Graduation.
It’s hard to believe that the end of the school year is looming. There is still so much to do and the time available is steadily decreasing! However we’re all looking forward to Christmas, happy times with family and friends, the holidays, some nice weather and some opportunities to just relax.
The final Parents and Friends Association meeting for the year, and maybe forever (!), was held on Tuesday evening. We are very excited to announce that this important parent body will be rebranded and restructured from the start of 2017. We haven’t mad e a final call on its title, but it will be something like the BPPS Community Volunteer Group. The change comes about partly as a result of us being unable to secure an Association President or Vice President over the past two years, but mostly to contemporise its purpose, function and operations. Still based on the PF&A’s objectives which, abbreviated, come down to Well Being, Participation, Discussion and Fundraising, the new format will comprise volunteers as follows: Class Rep Liaison; Events/Program Liaison; School Liaison; and Marketing/Communications. This is a work in progress and will evolve as needs arise, with a key intention being community building.
We will still be seeking other volunteers to coordinate events which were traditionally run by PFA and have become part of the BPPS culture. Please watch out for further details and information on how YOU can become involved in the new year. It promises to be an exciting and energising new phase of community involvement. Our sincere thanks go to those whose efforts and commitment have meant the P&FA remained viable and productive during 2016, especially Kylie McCarthy, Kylie Wray, Sandra Bell, Julie Dussin and Nicky O’Keefe.
