Strategic Plan

Strategic Plan - 2009 to 2012

Our school's Strategic Plan sets out the school's strategic direction for the next four years, including the school's purpose, values and environmental context, as well as goals, targets and key improvement strategies in three student outcome areas:

Student Learning

• To continue to improve student  learning outcomes in Numeracy particularly in the area of measurement.

• To improve student learning outcomes in Science.
• To continue to broaden and utilise a range of assessment practices to inform teaching and to improve student learning
• To increase the confidence and skills of teachers to plan and deliver Science and Numeracy curriculum and to assess student learning outcomes.
  
  Student Engagement and Wellbeing
• To improve the capability and confidence of our students within the school and wider community, and encourage them to take responsibility for others as well as themselves
• To further develop our teachers as supportive, authoritative and expert communicators with a responsibility to ensure improved student engagement and wellbeing.

Student Pathways and Transitions

• To maintain and further develop effective transition into and out of Primary school.

• To provide smooth transition for all students throughout the 7 years of primary school, particularly between the four VELS levels.
• To identify and address the transition needs specific to the parents of our school community.


The school strategic plan is created with information gathered and directions identified throughout the school self evaluation and school review processes, and through staff, student, parent consultation and engagement with relevant community agencies.
