At Boroondara Park Primary School we offer an exciting, extensive and varied Visual Arts program. Our purpose built Art room allows us to offer ceramics, in addition to a full range of Art genres. All students from P - 6 experience a wide range of Visual Art opportunities to explore media and to continually develop their skills and understandings. Our aim is to link, with the whole school concept and large projects are frequently undertaken. Team 4 (grade 5 and 6) students produce a permanent Art installation every second year and all students assist in prop-making for the annual school concerts or production. In teams 3 and 4 the students work with a visual diary which is an ongoing record of their planning, reflection and development.

The Visual Arts encourages all students to think creatively and produce high quality Arts works. Many of the wonderful pieces are frequently displayed in the foyer and main building and the students derive immense pride and pleasure from the experience. There is an opportunity for students to showcase their artwork during Art Week and also the weekly selection of our 'Artist of the Week'.
