PE/Sport

At Boroondara Park Primary School we offer a comprehensive physical education program with a strong emphasis on developing the fundamental motor skills across all year levels. Through physical education classes the students gain exposure to a wide variety skills that are developed and refined for use in both minor and major sports. Students at Boroondara Park experience various programs to further develop their skills across all levels. 

Prep students participate in PMP (perceptual motor programs), where students develop fine and gross motor skills through mini games and activities. Year levels 1-4 participate in sports time where the focus in on minor games that support the PE program. The grade 5/6 students get the opportunity to participate in the North Balwyn District interschool sport competition. As part of this competition the student are able to represent the school in the following sports, Football, Netball, Tee Ball, Soccer, Cricket, Volleyball, Rounder, Bat Tennis and Softball.

Students also compete in a school swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals where students have the chance to represent the school and compete against other school at the District, Zone, Regional and State levels.

All year levels also participate in a gymnastics program and the Prep to grade 5 students also participate in a aquatic education program.
