Team 4

Team 4 (level 4) comprises our grade 5 and 6 students (click here for the Team 4 information night slideshow).

The development of students as they move from later childhood into adolescence underpins their learning. As the students experience many physical and emotional changes, and as they form their adult personality, basic values and attitudes change, therefore greater responsibility and independent is fostered to help build resilience. Students at this level are provided with various leadership roles and responsibilities to help develop these changes. Our students experience more time away from home during camps at Coonawarra (grade 5) and Wilson's Promontory (grade 6). Transition into year 7 is built into the programs at this level with a strong emphasis on the making the transition into high school as smooth as possible. Numeracy, Literacy, Science and Interpersonal and Personal Learning are key aspects of the curriculum as well as an extensive ICT program that further develops '21st century skills'.
