School Council
The School Council sets the direction for the school. Council membership is open to parents, staff and members of the community. School Council responsibilities include -
- Developing the school's Strategic Plan and education policy
- Administering the school's finances
- Developing the school's codes of conduct
- Developing and maintianing the school buildings and grounds
The Council consists of eight parent representatives, four DEECD representatives, the principal and two co-opted members. Appointments are for two years, with elections coinciding with the March Annual Meeting. The Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month, and is supported by the following Committees -
Education Committe
Responisble for developing new policies and co-ordinating a cyclical process and developing, evaluation and reviewing the school's Strategic Plan and existing policies
Building, Grounds and facilities hire
Focuses on maintaining and upgrading the physical aspects of the school. and the co-ordination of a regular maintenance program. Aims to ensure the hall is used to its greatest potential for curriculum and community use.
Canteen Commitee
Responisble for establishing food policies that reflect curriculum policies and health values promoted in the school. Overseas the mamagement of canteen operations.
Promotions/Marketing Committee
Focuses on promoting the school in the wider community and developing the best opportunities for marketing benefits of attending our school. Aims to ensure events and activities are communicated to the community.
Events Committe
Responsible for initiating and organising events which promote and enhance the community spirit within the school.
Finance Committee
Establishes and maintains appropriate financial arrangements regarding school resources and preparing the school's annual budget. Overseas and maintains the schools finances throughout the year.
Integration Committee
Makes recommendations to ensure that school policy and curriculum are appropriate and effective for students with disabilities.
Safe to School Committee
Proactively works to improve traffic and parking management around the immediate school vicinity.
