The Foundation teachers at Boroondara Park P.S. frequently visit our local Kindergartens and have developed excellent professional relationships with local Kindergarten teachers. While students are participating in Story Time, parents are invited to share in an afternoon tea where they can meet and get to know other prospective parents. We run two Story Time sessions, one in July and one in October.
Our formal orientation program commences in November. The program consists of three sessions conducted on separate days where students participate in a variety of activities with their future Foundation teachers in the Foundation classrooms. During these sessions, the children further familiarise themselves with their future school environment and continue to make connections with teachers and children with whom they will be working. It also supports children and parents to develop their understanding of everyday life at Boroondara Park P.S.
