We aim to minimise all Waste at BPPS. We practice the waste wise principles of reduce, reuse and recycle. As part of the AuSSI Vic Resource Smart Waste module, we encourage students to bring Rubbish Free Lunches and to take any non-compostable litter home.

We aim to start measuring waste going to compost as part of our KGT activities.

We are aiming to achieve our target of 0.3m³ of landfill per student per year by the end of 2011 and have worked hard to maintain this target in the years following.

Our Environment Team do regular presentations at Assembly and in the classroom to help students learn how to manage waste effectively.
